Iris's yarn

The roving I'm spinning reminds me of my rabbit, Iris.

The yarn, not so much.

The fiber is Cormo and Cormo X. I got it from Cormo 24/7 at Greencastle. It is sooo nice to spin. Very clean, very soft, and very fine. I'm naming the yarn for Iris, anyway.

And does Iris like her namesake yarn?? I can see her resemblance in the yarn on the whatever-that-spinning-thing-is, but not as much in the finished skein.

She's a cute bunny!

Haha! Iris hasn't seen her yarn. After my parents' dog tried to grap a mouthful of raw fleece, I decided to keep all of my fiber stuff away from the pets! The yarn on the bobbin is singles. The dark bits really got toned down by all of the white after I plied the yarn. That's one of the things I love about spinning and weaving - you never know exactly what you're going to wind up with until you finish!
